Anyone still watching NBC: Heroes? |
I really enjoyed the first season, but I felt the first 2/3 of season was weak in some parts, then it finaly picked up speed. Peter, Hiro are still my fave heroes, and Sylar is still my fave villian. What did you all think of this season? What do you hope to see in the next. I was very disappointed in Season 2. The pacing was really off. It felt disjointed, and several of the plots made no sense - they were dependent upon everyone involved being an idiot. Claire watched her father take a bullet for her in Season 1, yet in Season 2 she acts like a petulant brat. Peter knows he's a telepath, yet he never bothers to read Adam's mind. Things like that were annoying. There were too many new characters and not enough time devoted to the old ones - the twins in particular were a total waste. I was disappointed that they brought Maya back. Sylar was also wasted the entire season, much as I love him. Introducing the miracle blood that brings the dead back to life was a huge mistake - it's a giant reset button. And shooting Nathan was possibly the dumbest decision ever - it was a cheap ratings gimmick. Frankly, the season finale left me angry because they made so many promises that they didn't keep. The season was incoherent, badly plotted, everyone acted out of character, and they ended by killing off good characters that had been wasted all season. I'd be happy if they opened Season 3 with Sylar or Peter or Nathan being held captive and realizing Season 2 had all been a dream while he was in a coma. well it's really a shame that the second season had to end so soon b/c of the writers' strike, but i thought it was really good this season, and i'm really looking forward to the next season. i just want to see how the plot moves along. i love heroes!! What an addictive show....now where will I get my fix? I have enjoyed this season as well. Although it was slow we were shown why Linderman was so into the people with abilities and what the 1st generation of heroes did and why the younger heroes have to clean up their mess. I though that Hiro's "trip" into the past was very interesting, him being his own childhood hero. Plus finding out that Adam Monroe was the "bad" Kensei and finding out that he was the one killing th other heroes was very cool. And the season finale especially made up for the other bad episodes. I think it's the most imaginative show on US TV! I thought this season was OK, but a little disjointed at first. |
