Is yr name on lost disk?

mine is i got a pathetic letter of appology wot do u think of this scandal

not got a letter yet, but it wouldn't surprise me if my name was on that soddin' disk. they've already screwed up my family tax credit payments (overpaid me by a few thousand - despite reassuring me to begin with that they were paying me the right amount - now i owe them money through no fault of my own)

the whole system is totally useless.

I got my letter, sent to my previous address, despite me telling them my new address when I moved in February. It's a good job it's my sister-in-law's house!

The disk will turn up in someone's in-tray in about 6 months time. I'm not that bothered to be honest. This sort of thing probably happens all the time, we just don't get to hear about it.

I dont have children yet so luckily Im not on it.

I got the letter, but wonder - perhaps everyone who's had a letter isn't really on the disks? After all, where did they get our addresses and child benefit numbers from, if they are 'lost'? I think, those with children and NO letter ought to be worrying.

The main risk is if you use children's birth dates as pin numbers. Which I don't anyway, so not worried.

I haven't thrown my letter away. Keeping it, may be worth something in the future. Not often that a Government department make an apology!!
