Not many people answered my question about Boy A so....?

For those of you that watched it the other week did it make you re-evaluate your views about people who commit a heinous crime at a young age, i.e the 2 boys who killed James Bulger?

I didn't watch it, as I thought it was too near to actual events...surely there must be lots of other things to make a drama of.

I watched it and even posted a question about the show myself.

I thought it was fantastic and i really like dthe lead character, he got his life back on track and was really a nice person. Vigilanted are the lowest in my opinion, no better than the criminals.

Doesn't it depend on the individual? It's wrong to say they are evil but not all of the young kids grow up to be like the boy in Boy A, do they? When it comes to crime, especially acts of violence, abuse and murder, the rehabilitation of the offender doesn't always work.

It's good that the drama was made, and it was impressive, but it's all propaganda, and it would be propaganda if they had made a drama depicting the boy as a lunatic when released instead of the nice kid he was. It's meant to be provocative and raise issues - like the one you have raised. However it is too much of a delicate and complicated subject to give just a yes or no answer to the question you asked.

It's also great to see that Channel 4, which seems to have been going down hill ever since they started making Big Brother, is still capable of producing gems like Boy A.

yeah, I'm definitely not the same person I was as a child, we might not have committed murder as children but we were all at sometime in our childhood either verbally cruel or violent to another kid. Its just lucky that none of our pranks went wrong or that things never got out of hand. Boy A deserved to do his time but also deserved a fresh start afterwards as he was obviously full of remorse and far removed from the child he once was.

No Way!! Those boys are walking around somewhere, with new identities, probably housed, with jobs at our expense!

That babys life was taken away, they should never have been freed!!! A Pair of Monsters!!!
