Heroes volume 2 or series 2?

Im getting confused between all these words that make up a "series". What is a "part" like part 1 or part 2. And what is a "volume" like volume 1 or volume 2, is it the same as series 1 and series 2? Any help would be appreciated. thanks.

i believe volumes relates to series, because at end of series one, it said, end of volume one, and parts are seperate episodes or in the case of DVD's, parts are which part of the series the DVD contains. if series one was split onto two dvds they would call them part 1 and part 2.

Volume one ends a minute or so before the end of series one, then volume two ends somewhere around episode eleven of series two.

Season one of Heroes comprises of all 23 episodes. The creator of Heroes called that "Volume One".

Season two of Heroes was broken into two halves with the first 11 episodes making up "Volume Two". The second half will be "Volume Three".

Series: Heroes
Season: The series that is shown in one calendar year
Episode: One show, in Heroes they're called "Chapters"
Part: Episodes which need two hours instead of one are broken into parts. Since Heroes is all connected, they never use "Part One" and "Part Two"

Series #1 of Heroes had 23 episodes & the dvd box-set for the season was split into 2 parts or "volumes"
vol 1 has episodes nos. 1-11
vol 2 has the rest eps nos. 12-23.

The volumes are like half seasons. We have now just finished season two, volume 2 generations, with volume 3 (still season 2) Villains starting soon.
