What's with the absurd banter between garcia and morgan on criminal minds?

is it just me or is this seriously unprofessional behavior. I mean, their profilers and acting like teenagers. Why would the writers keep on with this stuff? I'd rather see more of each characters personal life then hear this mumbo jumbo.

The characters have high stress jobs, the banter is meant to diminish some of that stress - although I totally agree that it sounds more like a high school lunch room then any adult conversation I've heard.

So, you've never, ever had a co-worker that you could harmlessly flirt with? I sure have. In fact, there's a guy I work with now that we talk like that all the time. And before you go on about sexual harassment, he's gay, I'm straight - we just both love to flirt, and this way we can do so without anyone being offended. Happens all the time.

I don't know, but I would flirt with Shemar Moore far more than Garcia does.

thats something i look foward to on the show. its so cute and who wouldnt flirt with that hottie???? its not like they flirt and completely forget about their jobs. they flirt to stay sane;to remember that they r still human;to remember that their r still good hearted, good humored people in the world
