Question about 'Lost'?

Okay to most people whove watched Lost this will be an easy question. First to tell me gets the points.
All it is, is Ive started watching all the Lost episodes from the beginning and now Im near the end of season 2. John Locke meets his dad and reminds him "You stole my kidney!"
Now I've totally forgotten HOW Locke came to have his kidney stolen! I remember he went to the hospital and woke up without his kidney but WHY did he go? If it was to help his dad but he got tricked, what happened???
I know its probably obvious but my minds gone blank and its really bugging me. Please someone explain what happened, or I'll have to trawl through all those past episodes again! Thanks..........

he found his father and wanted at father son relationship with him. his dad pretended to want to be close to john and persuaded him to donate a kidney. after the transplant his father ignored him.

Lockes dad tricked him into thinking he wanted a relationship with his son. Locke donated a kidney to him, then his father left him in hospital and severed all contact. He told him he no longer wanted to know him.

His mom went to the shop he worked in and pretended that she was missing him. HIs parents were in cahoots with each other. His longing for a father cuased his to donate his kidney. It was all bull.

Locke decided to track down his father and gradually they became fairly close, only unbeknown to Locke his dad was only being friendly as he needed a kidney transplant, once he got the kidney he told John he know longer wanted to know him!! Then..............better not ruin the rest of it for you.. PS dont lose sleep over Locke its the lovely Sawyer i lose sleep over!!!

his kidney wasn't really stolen, Locke willingly donated it.

his father made him believe that he wanted to be a good father, only to convince him to give him his kidney. after getting it, he didnt want to see locke anymore.

I think Locke's dad had left him when he was younger, and then all of a sudden he comes back and is like "Hey son long time no see, I'd love to get to know you, but I really need a kidney". And Locke was like "Great!" But then the guy just took the kidney and ran.
