Why hasn't season 3 Battlestar Galactica been released on DVD yet?

I love Battlestar Galactica !! Don't watch much TV but Netflix recommended BSG cause I loved Serenity / Firefly. I have now seen all the season DVDs and am very eager to watch seasons 3 and 4. Netflix has them "saved" for me.

They pushed the release of the DVD back until April 2008, since that's when Season 4 will be premiering (depending on the strike). It will probably be released a few weeks before the premiere.

As far as anyone not on the "inside" knows, the studio has no current plans to release the DVD. However, you can download individual episodes from Amazon.

You will probably have to download it using some sort of Bit torrents. It is very difficult to find the newer episodes of ER because NBC is taking their sweet time releasing the seasons onto DVD.
