Star Trek: the New Next Other Generation!?

Ok, so you're in charge of the next Star Trek series. What is it?
Personally, I'd set mine a further century ahead of TNG, DS9 and Voyager, say 2467, aboard USS Enterprise M. I'd have Romulans and Cardassians in Starfleet, and an alien captain. Midway through season 2, a popular major character would be murdered by another one, and the victim would be replaced by another officer with questionable morals and ethics.
But I'm sure someone out there can think of something much more interesting... so let's see you prove me right!

I would want to include my favourites in a series. Like "Q", Captain Picard (and his woman love interest that Q took off with and promised to take care of) and his senior officers also including Whoopi G. and I'd bring back Tasha to clash with her half Romulan daughter, maybe Janeway, Seven of Nine and the hologram doctor.

Then the story lines could just come out of places that they have been and follow up on the consequences of there involvement with those worlds. There is enough to keep going for a long time. Sorry not very creative at all, just a fan. But your story sounds good.

I'd have em swearing their heads off, slaughtering Baorans and laughing all the way.

Don't have to worry about it. JJ Abrams is going to kill the franschise with this new movie.

I think we need to see what they do with the new film if they are not very careful then Star Trek could end up a parody of it's self.
