When is the next NEW episode of Desperate Housewives gonna air?

My friend told me something like they are gonna cancel the show or something like that because someone filed a dispute against the writers or something like that, I don't know. And that the last episode that they aired maybe the last they air for months. Can someone give me the 411 about this?

ALL Repeat ALL USA tv/movie writers are on STRIKE and have been for a month now- DH was one of the first shows to shut down when the strike was called-

they MAY have an episode or 2 filmed to air Next yr- the networks aren't going to waste New epis at this time
( holidays and being a Non Sweepst time- next Sweeps are in Feb)

The writers want a % of the $$$$ the networks make from online downloads- at this time the writers get ZERO from downloads at the networks sites or Itunes

The writers are on strike. It will back when they go back to work and write more episodes. They have been on strike for over five weeks. It's been all over the news!
