When will heroes be returning to NBC?

The 2nd season was so short! When is heroes suppose to start airing new episodes? I heard it was in 2008, but does anyone know what month?

It depends upon the strike. Season 2 was separated into two volumes. volume 2 was supposed to be episodes 1-11, and volume 3 was supposed to be episodes 12-23. Episode 11 had already been filmed when it became obvious that the writers would strike, so they made some changes and reshot the episode to act as a season finale, just in case. Production on Heroes has halted because the cast, directors and creator have joined the writers on the picket lines to show their support.

If the studios are willing to negotiate and the strike ends soon, production can begin again and we can get a full season, starting probably around February. Unfortunately the studios appear to be greedy and unwilling to negotiate, and if the strike lasts much longer there won't be time to film the rest of the season and there won't be new episodes until Fall 2008, assuming the strike has ended by then - the last strike by the writers guild lasted 22 weeks. Hopefully facing sweeps month in February with nothing but reality shows and reruns will motivate the networks to negotiate.

The Writer's Guild of America is on strike, and has been for a while now. The season was short because no one is writing for it. The show won't be back until the Writer's Guild is back, if at all, and 2008 is just an estimate because the Guild could go on strike forever, or the writers for Heroes could just not come back. In other words, no one knows when any shows are coming back.

The return date is undetermined until the writers strike is resolved.Let's hope they write better scripts for Season 3 and stop with the doomsday scenarios..that has gotten boring.

nope i just know it will be back next year. i know it's a drag i so can't wait to see what happens next. i wished it was was that dumb chick maya who died permanently and not nickki/jessica. i was also shocked my nathan's death. wow the plot keeps getting better and better.

ps the writers strike had nothing to do w/ it ending it's season. the season was only 11 epidsodes for the season. the strike will however affect the 3rd season as all other shows. they would be on hiatus now anyway and start shooting in jan or feb. but i think it will be a long strike b/c no one wants to budge. let's hope they all come to their senses soon.
