For me Grissom was THE show!

Last season (season 7 episode 11 - episode 14), Grissom left to go on sabbatical for a month to teach Entomology course in Williams College on the east coast. He came back on episode 15 (Law of Gravity).

The new guy, Michael Keppler, was good, he was actually an interesting character. He tried to hide his past from the other CSIs, he was a private person, same as Grissom. He had his own technique to solve a crime (in one episode he used reverse psychology). He left the show the day Grissom returned from sabbatical.

But, no one can replace Grissom!!

what season are you on? Sara just left the show but Grissom is still there. Grissom left last season for a little while but he is back now

well then he will be back and the new guy has a nice little twist to his story line
