Content of Heroes / recommend TV shows?

I recently downloaded the show Heroes, Season 1. I usually watch shows with my sister, but she didn't like the first two episodes because of the series of relatively gory deaths. I was just wondering if the rest of the show follows this trend?

Also, what do you think of Prison Break or 24? What shows would you recommend to someone who really enjoys Lost and Jericho? Thanks ^^

Heroes is science fiction, about people who have "evolved" to develop super powers. The gory killings at the first were the work of one character, Sylar, and not the entire content of the show. Although trying to stop him is an important component. I'll just put it like this: I love Heroes. After the holidays, I plan to treat myself to the entire first season DVD; I also have printed recaps of every single episode, in a binder, which I can go back and read if I'm truly bored. alias! and i know this isn't along those action-based shows but friday night lights is fantastic.

why not try watching new genre that you dont usually watch.. for a change like Scrubs, or desperate housewives, etc.

Heroes is great, stick with it.
Loved Prison Break 1 & 2 but havent seen 3 yet as it iwas poached by Sky from channel 5.
Lost is my favourite of all.
