Jim branning eastenders?

as he died because last week at end of an episode it said in memory of...... but i did'nt know is real name so was'nt sure if it was him or not?and i cant remember the name it said.

he hasnt passed away but is recovering from a stroke it was the original series producer[julia holland]from 1985 who passed away a few weeks ago as well as mike reid[frank butcher]who had a heart attack in september

I know that he suffered a stroke in August and had to be written out.
As far as I know, he's still alive.
Might have to google his name to find out, it would be a shame if he had passed away as he was one of the funniest actors in Eastenders!

oh my god didnt know tht i know he'd had a stroke back along,but not heard anything else since....bless him if this is true


EDIT: the actor is called john bardon, just googled the name but couldnt see whether or not he's passed away x

He isn't dead.
He had a stroke in real life and needed to be written out of the soap, so they based a storyline on his real stroke.

no he is still kicking his heels.

i think he is alive, i know he had a stroke and needed to be written out of the soap for obvious reasons. i think if he had died they would have said in the soap that jim had died.

He is still alive as far as I am aware but obviously written out at the moment due to his ill health following his stroke - i wish him well. I love him and Dot - they are such a class act.

there was a memorial message at the end of 'enders a few weeks ago for Hilda Braid who played Nanna Moon as she passed away recently.
