On that show Dexter on Showtime...?

Does anyone know how Michael C. Hall was chosen for the role? Thanks..

lol Well, yeah he is. I mean he does seem perfect for the role. Fairly nice looking but not so much so that he would stand out. There's this air of...affability about him too.

I cannot imagine another actor playing Dexter...he makes that role! As you can see he is an incredible actor and I'm sure the people responsible for choosing him saw his work on Six Feet Under.

Often the most understated actors and actresses have the most talent. As far as his looks, I think he has exactly what we want in Dexter. He appears brilliant, very attractive (but able to blend into a crowd), slightly disturbed, yet lovable...not to mention buff (for taking down those heavier bad guys).

Although I have a few questions about the show (how many serial murderers can there REALLY be, for example), I think it is one of the most intelligent and gripping shows out there.

Because he agreed to be paid in Funyuns.

I'm not sure. I'm sure there's info on showtime's site. He was a main character in HBO's Six Feet Under, where he played another dark role. I'm sure that had something to do with it. I know he has years of theater experience too. I love Dexter!

I don't know how they chose him, but I am glad they did. I cannot imagine anyone else playing that character. He does it perfectly. He is an amazing actor.
