me and my sister want t audition, as a duet, but ive now been told that u cant if u have a criminal record, is this right? if so dont u think that this wrong? i am being victimised against.

i have convictions for assault, burglary, criminal damage, nothing sinse october 2005, i have found the path of good.

I am a believer that if you did a crime and then paid for it in how you were punished, then you have every right to move on without it always being over your head.

nope. you are only victimised if your criminal record is spent. It would really depend on the crime. If people looked badly on it then you wont sell records will you? Pointless trying to get into the business if you cant sell records...

Well it depends what you've done, if you murdered someone or a sex offendor or peadophile. Then I think you should'nt go onto XFactor.

I don't think you're quite right, I think its only if you have impending or unspent convictions that you are ineligible.

Edit: Yes, the wording on the application says "You must disclose to the Company details of any/all criminal/civil actions pending against you currently and/or served against you and/or any unspent convictions."

You can't be on X Factor or any other reality show if you have a criminal record because you could be seen to be bringing the show into disrepute.
Anyway, think about this - who's the victim here: you, or the person you committed the crime against???

no you can't if you have a criminal record ,you wouldn't be a good role model remember that girl ce ce from that group hope she got booted off because she had a criminal record and then there was emily too who we later found out she was involved in "happy slapping" people , its not you being victimised that the rules end of sorry !!!!
