Why has heroes season 2 stopped at episode 11?

i heard it some sort of strike but what is it all about.

i also think it rediculas to cram a whole season into 11 episodes

its mostly to do with the writer's strike, so they are waiting to see about that
the thing with season one they had to introduce us to the characters and to there powers who they are and that, so more episodes needed, but yeah the season two act three or whatever it is

Yes, the writers are on strike because they would like to get paid when videos of their shows are released in other media besides television (such as downloads over the Internet).

this season was supposed to have volumes 2,3 &4 but since there's a writers strike and all of the ps weren't taped they had to cut it short. the writers guild is on strike b/c the studios won't pay them their rightful share of dvd or internet earnings. that's why we'll be seeing a lot of re-runs for a while. hopefuly it will be over soon. it kinda sucks for us though.

Basically, Season 2 was supposed to be two volumes. Volume 2 was to be episodes 1-11, and volume 3 would be episodes 12-23. When it became obvious that the strike was unavoidable, they reshot Episode 11 as a season finale, just in case. Production on Heroes has shut down since the directors, cast and creators have refused to cross the picket lines and joined the writers on the lines - in fact, Dec. 11 was Heroes Fans a Day on the picket lines. The cast gave out autographs and comic books and other stuff as the fans joined the picket line.

Since talks have broken down again, it looks like it will be a while until things are settled. There probably won't be time to get new episodes shot unless it ends quickly, like the next 2-3 weeks. If that happens we may get close to a full season. Otherwise this is it until fall, assuming the strike is over at that point.

Hopefully it won't be so rubbish when it returns.

The director actually apologized to fans for the beginning of this season! They believe that bringing in the love intrest of Claire's wasn't smart--you have to admit, he was a lame character. They finished up volume 2, not SEASON 2. Season two will have a few volumes--meaning a few end of the world mini seasons. I'm excited!

writers strike and it did not stop the season just the volume. if you saw the post show tim kring was there and he explained it. that a volume is over that does not mean the season is over just a story. next is all about villans. there is planned to be 3 volumes this season. that is why at the end it did not say end of season season finally it is just having break so it said intill 2008.

It's bcz of the Hollywood writers strike which has affected a lot of the US dramas.Production on all new shows etc has been stopped til the strike has ended.
