More important: Romantic or Sexual Compatibility?

ok...so i notice a lot of people that you might be sexually compatible with might not be compatible on a romantic level...but what is more important. I find that sex can keep couples together and I've seen it happy many a time. Where as you might be romantically compatible with someone, but it's boring because the sex is not there. Then you break up anyway. What do you guys think?

Astrology recognizes the four elements and equates them as:

Earth = Body (physical, including sex)
Water = Heart (emotional, including love & romance)
Air = Mind (mental, including ideas, opinions and beliefs)
Fire = Spirit (spiritual, including values)

From an astrological perspective, your question is really asking, "What is more important to the success of a relationship, compatibility of Body or compatibility of Heart?"

Since we are whole beings with a body, heart, mind and spirit, compatibility on each of these levels is important.

What makes or breaks a relationship, though, is compatibility on the spiritual level, the level of our values. All our thoughts and feelings are determined by what we most value. If two people share the same values, they will eventually come to agreement and harmony on the mental and emotional level. I suspect on the physical level as well.

What often happens in relationships is that there is an initial attraction on the physical, emotional or even mental level (similar interests) -- but over time, if the two people have different values, they will realize that they aren't truly connecting on a spiritual level and break it off.

When you share bodies, your bodies are a couple. When you share hearts, your hearts are a couple. When you share minds, your minds are a couple. When you share spirits, your spirits are a couple.

We are not bodies, or hearts, or minds. We are spirits who have bodies, hearts and minds. Since we are spirits, the only true relationship is when our spirits are compatible, that is, when we share the same values.

Given only the choice between romantic or sexual compatibility, I would say it depends on which of these two is most important to the people involved. But if they both agree that romance, for example, is more important than sexual compatibility, you have right there a spiritual agreement on the value of romance.

What would happen if one thought sexual compatibility was more important and the other felt romantic compatibility was more important? They would break up because of the difference in their values, which is a question of spiritual compatibility.

Personally, I don't think relationshops are all about romance, and sex. Love is the most powerful thing in ones soul. Love is not about money or romance, Love is showing one another love through your actions.

Neither. The answer is to connect with someone who is a loyal friend. This person will make you laugh -- not only at the world around you -- but at yourself, sometimes.

Compatibility is more about what exists within the mind than between the legs -- or any other area in between.

Looks fade, waist sizes increase -- but personality and sense of humor will keep you smiles for the long haul.

we r talkin bout this in health, ROMANTIC!! is way more important!! if the romance isnt there, theres no point in an relationship u need to be able to talk to the other and love them

altought it may seem those couples (that are on the same level only when it comes to sex ) are happy together and stay together, but thats impossible. at first it may be fun but eventually to become really involved with someone you need to connect on all levels so i say both are important but Romantic is slightly more important, or if you want to say emotionally

Well some signs need sex and others are OK just on a romantic level. so i believe every couple is different and every couple has different needs.

im leaning more towards romantic. however i think its more important to just follow your heart. <3

even more important is the actual love and trust in a relationship.
