What is Sun, moon, and sign rising mean?

i read some questions talk about my sun sign, my moon sign, my rising sign...etc what does all that mean, and how can i found out about mine?

Your sun sign is the same as your regular zodiac sign. This sign defines your interests when it comes to hobbies.
Your Moon sign defines your personality. How you react to problems, how you deal with others daily, etc.
Your rising sign, is also known as your Ascendent sign and sign that rules the 1st House. This sign defines how people see you. While your sun sign defines your interests, it is your rising sign that defines your true character.

So for example you could be a Gemini and your astrological opposite is a sagittarius, but that doesn't mean a sagittarius can be attracted to you.
