Who else believes in a soulmate?

I want to know what some peoples definitions of a soulmate are.

A soulmate is someone who cares and loves you unconditionally. Someone who always stands by you and gives you a helping hand when you fall. A person who gives you strength and energy to move on in life. Someone who knows all your fears, strengths and weaknesses. Someone who knows you totally well. He or she might discover something about you that you have never come to know about. This person can be your friend, mentor, neighbour or even your pet. Someone who can make an impact in your life, postively.

Well, there's a difference between a soulmate and a lifemate. Your soulmate is litterally the other part of your soul which will never be on this earth as the same time as you. The reason for this is becuase you are entangled; if something happens to one, it will happen to another.
The intent of your question, however, regards a romantic life mate...
I don't think most of us have just "one destined person" as much as several people whom we partner with and learn from. The lifemate is a familliar soul that you partner with in this life to learn from.

I think meikai explained perfectly, however, I don't believe that my soulmates are always romantic partners. They can be your best friends from grade school, a pet, or family. They are someone from a past life that you are meant to meet up with again and again and again.

for me.. The definition of the soulmate is.. The one who u can talk to without saying a word.. The one who can feel u through distance and through miles and calls u just at the moment ur thinking of him/her just to ask u if ur okay!! Soulmate is the other half of u that will make u a whole.. That was my own definition of the soulmate.. Nice question :)

yes I have one but we arent together...long story...you keep crossing paths till you know he is the one...similar thinking patterns, similar decisions, brainwaves etc... a link so deep youve never had it with anyone else..

soulmate: someone you just feel you're eternally grateful for. someone you can life forever & days after with. someone you just know you'll always be happy with, always laugh with, & in the end be able to cry with, & still end up being ok. someone that when your without them, you feel so empty, incomplete. someone that you dont want to say goodbye to, that if you do, your afraid of losing them everytime you do. you just want to be there for them, with them forever. someone your ready to grow old with. you feel youd be nothing without this other individual, that there would be no reason, no meaning to life.
