Which dominates the personality more a moon in scorpio or ascendant scorpio?

like what I mean which is would be stronger in the individual?

Actually, I think it's the scorpio ascendant that is more dominant, because the ascendant is based on the exact time of birth, and my scorpio ascendant dominates my whole personality. altho im gemini with leo moon, I'm very scorpio.

i would have to say a moon in scorpio because a moon is everlasting until something the unexpected happens to it and a ascendant is just a person or thing that has a limited life and tries to do everything it can before it dies. That's what i think.

I also have a Scorpio Moon...it dominates so much at times that I relate more to the Scorpio personality than the Aries, which is where my Sun and Mercury are exactly conjunct.

Sometimes ascendants can be very subtle, relating more to appearance. A Scorpio ascendant has a better chance at being subdued by other more prominent planets...but a Scorpio Moon is basically undeniable because it deals with depth of emotion and investigative intuition.

As far as the ascendant goes though...it is most significant when other planets are aspecting it (especially conjunctions)...those aspects are what give characteristics to your body and mannerisms.

the rising sign is the second strongest influence in the chart, that is why the ruling planet of the rising sign rules the whole chart, so mars and pluto are the rulers. the moon sign just governs the emotions. i'm a scorpio with a scorpio moon and it is a major affliction even though it is a water sign. the moon is dignified and exalted in cancer and taurus respectively.

Moon determines personality. Ascendent just defines your well being.

The rising sign is something like your soul in the flesh. How you create your world and the world around you. It's a tangible, thing, like the birth, and where are you taken how do you present yourself on a day to day basis. Moon is like the mood, and the entire world revolving around you, that has an extreme effect on how you will act and who you are always. I believe that we humans are ruled by the heart. The moon is even stronger in a womans chart, or even a moon-ruled individual.

But I do undestand that the Scorpio Moon placement is possibily one of the most intense and consequentally has a strong effect on those around the native.

However I do feel the Scorpio Rising has a stronger effect on the personality itself. But a Scorp. rarely ever reveals his true feelings. Sometimes it is hard to tell with the Scorpio person, there is that aura of mysteriousity!
