Is it wrong to NOT want them? What is your thought on children?

Well this question is for who don't have children.
Do you want kids? and do you think this from your sign? or the way you were raised? What is your sun sign?

Not everyone wants children.

The world has enough children who don't have enough to eat. I don't think it's wrong to not have children to consume even more resources.

I think people should have children if they want them (and can accept the responsibilities involved), but should respect the wishes of those who choose not to have any.

I like kids a lot - I just don't want the 24-hour responsibility of having them.

My wife and I share an informal parenting role with our niece and nephew and their parents. We don't have any official responsibility, but we play a role in their lives.

I'm a picses and I don't want kids. I just moved Frisco, TX and it is stroller central here, it seems like everyone has kids. When people find out we don't have kids, they completely blow us off. Spprt yr wife. Society's harder on childless wmn. Report It

I understand why you wouldn't want any kids... there are several studies out there which seems to indicate the decrease in level of happiness which directly correlate to the number of children in the family. i agree, they're a lot of work. if you remember, you were probably a lot of work for your mom and dad too.

Do I want kids? Surprisingly, yes. i would like to adopt them, though, since there are so many children out there who needs parents... why go pop one out when i can help who's already in existence?

Do you think this from your sign? I have no clue. I'm an aquarius-sun, so I have worries that maybe my children might not think i love them sometimes... hopefully they won't.

The way you were raised? My culture believes in importance of marriage and children, and American culture's more relaxed (unless you're from the bible belt). Honestly, the two cultures in my life has clashed a lot, so maybe it does have to do with something along that line.

My wife and I decided when we met 24 years ago that "There are enough great kids in the world, we don't want to add to the heap. IF we have kids, we'll adopt."

And, we too, are involved with the lives of several of our nieces and nephews; made a significant contribution in several cases. It takes a village...

Me and my fiance flip flop about this. Sometimes he wants them and I do not and others it's the opposite lol. We are truly undecided and I told him if he wants kids by the time we are 30 I will give him ONE if I do not want any. I love kids and work well with kids it's just the thought of being a mommy scares me to death! Everyone says I will be good at it but they only see the interaction I have with kids when I work at a preschool or with my nephew....Teenagers would give me a heart attack!!! hahaha I am 21 right now and I am a Libra my Fiance a Gemini.

No way is it wrong not to want kids. Everyone is different with various things of importance to them. You're wife and you have made a decision that works for you and I commend you.

whats a sun sign????? and i like kids too but im really not into having them myself. for me.....its more like

1. i dunno if i could take care of my own kid. im sure i could if i had one, but id rather not.
2. the world? why would you want to bring a kid into this insane world? haha. im just a pessimist

i just got married. my husband wants them like yesterday i want to wait 3-4 yrs so we can enjoy ourselves. It all depends on the individuals. As long as you both agree everything will be cool. There is no wrong or right answer. It's your life, whatever works for you!

It is not wrong to not want kids. In some cases it is better that people dont have kids. My husband and I at first did not want them and then by accident I got pregnant now we have a wonderful two year old and I am pregnant again not by accident this time. I think it all just depends on who you are and the type of life that you want to live. I dont think anybody ever knows for sure that they want kids till they have them. All in all it is ok to not want kids.

anyway, i know for a fact that i don't want kids. i know i'm still pretty young and people all say i'll change my mind, but they can't control my mind - my mind is mine and i'm not changing it.
for some weird reason, young kids seem really frightened of me, ok i'll admit my appearance is a bit OTT most of the time, but even if i'm wearing ordinary clothes, they always seem scared of me and it gets on my nerves. also, i think it would be best if i don't have kids coz i'm an angry person and i snap at any moment so i don't want to take my anger out on the kids, if i have any.
i don't think it has anything to with my sign or the way i was raised - i think it comes from what the person themself think. i don't mind other people having kids, but it really annoys me when people preach to me about it.

Listen, I have two daughters and a step daughter. I love them all very much and the thing about being a parent is that you have to give a LOT of time to these kids, you have an obligation to bring them up right, blah, blah, blah...BUT, if you don't want any, then don't have any. Its great when you are married to a person who wants the same thing. It is wrong to have children to please someone else..case in point...my cousin had been married for 15 years and was already nearing 40, she was also feeling her husband slip away, she never really wanted kids, but he KINDA did....(all these years she'd secretly been taking birth control pills) so she stopped the birth control and lo and behold she got pregnant. The kid is now 5 going on 6...she pays no attention to this boy and the husband is both mommy and daddy...I think its a mess

I'm an aries , and i like kids, but i dont want to have kids, i think there is nothing wrong with that, its a personal choice.

I don't think wanting kids and not wanting kids has anything to do with a person's sign and how their raised, etc.......
I think that some people just choose not to have kids because they simply don't want them. Nobody said that every man and woman has to have kids. I don't think it's fair to look down on someone simply because they don't want kids. That doesn't mean they don't like kids, it just means they choose not to have any. It's just like choosing not to get married or whatever else that has to do with making choices. We are all entitled to our own choices. There are so many people out there in the world that have kids and don't even take care of them. Some abuse their kids and some parents are just not good parents. Some people just don't need to have them because they don't even take care of them. I think before a person chooses to have a child they need to think long and hard about it because it's a lifetime thing being a parent. The people that choose not to have kids are making the right choice for themselves. I'd rather see someone not bring a child into this world when they really don't want it to begin with. I can respect your honesty about you not wanting kids.
It's your choice and people should respect that.

No it's not wrong to not want kids its your own personal choice. I myself have decided that kids aren't for me.

My reason : My parents divorced when I was 8 my mom was pregnant with my ( little brother Tim ) dad left, mom went back to work
to pay bills. My Sister & I were stuck playing mommy. He's not an easy kid to care for hes has ADHD and some other disorders. Thats was my childhood or parenthood. 8P

Do you want kids? As of right now... No. But I probably will ADOPT in the future. (but I will only adopt kids OLDER then 6.. and maybe a teenager... I dislike screaming babys)

or the way you were raised? No...I raised myself. No dad, and mom worked from 9 am to 8 pm... So basically I was on my own from the time I woke up to almost the time I went to sleep...for 11 years.
