Pisces, prone to substance abuse?

It has been said that people born under the astrological sign of Pisces are more likely to develope substance abuse issues in their lifetimes. Do you feel this is true? I have known seven Pisces people in my lifetime, and three of them did have substance abuse problems. I am not attacking Pisces people, because I like them, and I am not saying that the ONLY people to have substance abuse problems are Pisces, but I was just curious if anyone has found this to be true?

Alcohol problems in particular.

It is somewhat true. I to am a Pisces myself and was picked on and abused by people all of the time when I was younger. My dad, who was also a Pisces, dealt with the same problems. They say suffering is born well in Pisces. So far, that seems to be true.

Yes, it's true. Much more if the person has his/her MOON in Pisces.

I have heard of this but I have two pisces sisters and they never ever had a substance abuse problem whereas me, as a LIBRA and NO PISCES in my chart have. I stay away from alcohol because I know I can get addicted. I also have a very addictive personality as well.

I am a pisces and I think the reason this is said about my sign is that pisces love to live in a fantasy universe... and they are very open to new experiences as well as easily led by others. Sometimes this combination may contribute to substance abuse.

my father was one and it's true. they hate reality. einstein was also a pisces but escaped in a world of physics. pisces women really need to be taken care of but they are the most feminine sign and well worth it, especially if they tap into their psychic abilities.

I've heard of this too. I think it's because Pisces have a tendancy to be dreamers and so what's an easy way to get to a dream like state? You a substance that allows you to get there. this is not the first time I've heard this.

I consider Pisces to be the ultimate dreamer of the zodiac. They are the visionaries and many possess psychic tendencies (and strong instincts).

They are already highly imaginative so using substances could possibly be a method of heightening the senses, and putting them more in-tune with the divine, or whatever it is.

I think that because Pisces is the oldest sign of the Zodiac, which represents death. Their soul is at such an elderly-type stage, that they simply don't care and are jaded about everything anyway. So they get into things that can be considered unacceptable because they are such oldies that they simply don't care how it affects them or what others think of them.

Not this pisces. I've known more earth signs that have substance abuse problems.
