Ascendant compatibility?

Has anyone heard of ascendant compatibility?
Well I read that ASCs need to be compatible for people to stay together.
For instance, if your ASC is square someone's ASC, then you won't be together.
Anyone with more insights?

Yes, I know, but I read a source that says ASC compatibility s very important.. so if people have incompatible suns but compatible ASCs they will be together..

my mum and my dad's ASCs are sextile so its good.

No, if your ASC squares someone's ASC, it doesn't mean that they won't be together, but it just means the ways each of you project out into the world and your personalities will be in conflict and not in harmony. It would take work, but It can still be done.

Edit: Well, I say that It is a very good indicator of attraction and harmony, but just because someone's ascendant is compatible doesn't mean that they always WILL be together. there's always choice and free will, and there are many couples that have incompatible ascendants, but I do see what you mean.

Asc compatiblitiy is important but it is not a make or break thing. You have to look at both charts fully not just Sun/Moon/ ASC/Venus.

Yes your ascendant is the mask you wear so it is as compatible as your sun sign
I think you have to match your sun, moon and ascendant to be comfortable in the relationship however 2 out 3 isn't bad : )
