Scorpio suns/or Scorpio dominant - Does your intensity exhaust you at times?

Mine does. Intensity can be good, but it can also be draining.

What do you do to chill out?

I've done some work on my emotions so they don't get out of hand. A lot of it is not letting an emotion sweep you away like a wild river. You can do this by observing the emotion instead of becoming the emotion. Then less energy is drained via the emotional intensity Scorpio is known for.

Exhaustion, as I know YOU know, isn't limited to Scorpio's, but intensity IS only draining when it's resisted, regardless of the sun sign. (I think when sun signs resist their own intensity, the effect of resistance takes a form that is unique only to them.) On the other hand, when intensity is embraced wholeheartedly without any excuses or apologies, it becomes a source of renewable energy, like wind machines and solar power..... only here we're talking about psychic energy, cerebral power, emotional electricity and thought-forms filled with sexual imagination and dynamic Will! Afterwards, some people smoke a cigarette to chill out; others go for a brisk, long walk. For me personally, after an intense sexual encounter, I accentuate my sexual "exhaustion" by logging onto my computer and browsing the web, stopping to add a thought here and there for the Yahoo Answer community before getting back to the goodness and richness of female companionship waiting for me in my bedroom. I guess this explains why I'm on the computer so much.

Its hard for a scorpio to avoid this, coz they just naturally keep it in and quiet themselves, thats why they suddenly burst from all the contained energies unsaid.

The neverending thinker....neverending prober....They will ask you 50 gozillion questions and never believe a durn one of your answers...It is exhausting to me that they never stop and just let things lie as they may. I know the males are like this.

Yeah, I have Scorpio in Sun, Mercury, Venus, and Pluto. It can be exhausting, I actually have a fairly serious anxiety problem because I can never relax. I never really... "chill out". I always have to be doing something, even when I'm just sitting around the house, I'm usually doing two things at once. I can't even remember the last time I turned on the TV and just watched it. I think all we can do to deal with the intensity is have a lot of outlets for it. It takes a lot for me to be so exhausted that I just lay around and do nothing. The funny thing is, everyone things I'm very laid back. They have no idea how uptight I am. Sometimes it's fun being so good at hiding things without even knowing it. Gotta love Scorpios. : )

you're telling me... my scorpio is in moon/rising/mars, and pluto, and it's just too much sometimes! most of my scorpio is square against my aquarius (sun, mercury, venus, jupiter), so they're constantly fighting inside... should i be jealous? no, i shouldn't, or yes i should, etc. it's in my nature to resist each other, and it's really exhaustive. sometimes i wonder why i couldn't have been born at another time, just so i would have less of scorpio...
