well, at face value, libra and aries both like to make the first move (aries more than the libra). as air and fire, you two in general shouldn't have too much trouble making connection if your hobbies and such are right, however, because you are both cardinal signs, unless you two have some fixed or mutual signs in play, the relationship might be a little less stable than if you were dating a leo guy (for example, who's a fixed sign).
Aries tend to be a little egoistic, and libra tends to be a little too wishy-washy sometimes, but as long as you two can work that out, there shouldn't be any problems.

as for love connection, i don't see why there shouldn't be. you're already going on the first date. i'm sure you'll be able to figure out whether there is a love connection or not when you spend time with this dude.

i'd need more information like birthdate, time to give you a more detailed information, but so far, it doesn't sound like it would be horrible; in fact, it probably would be action-packed, and very interesting (aries doesn't like to sit still)!
