Questions about water sign people... how to understand them?

I'm a Gemini and in the last year, I had a falling out with a couple of Cancer friends -- one became really close to me. In the beginning, our friendship was a lot of fun, talking about relationships, emotions, etc. But as the friendship went on, I noticed my friend was getting more and more clingy to me - and eventually getting very bossy and nosy. Eventually I had to step back b/c she said some rather hurtful things - saying I was "selfish" when she was the one who was monopolizing my time. My other Cancer friend was similar.. they both had drastic mood swings and were completely swayed by emotions than by their brain (which didn't make sense, my friend was an IRS auditor) and did some really crazy things.

I don't mean to generalize, but are most water signs this complicated? I'm interested in a Pisces man at this time.. (he's the 3rd.. they're pretty mysterious, intuitive and intellectual, IMO) .. but I need to know how I can understand them better? Or is this a lost cause? Thx.

In response to the last post below, I actually tried to work it out with my Cancer friend, but she totally denied any wrongdoing - and was not willing to take any responsibility, even though I know part of it was hers' and part of it was mine. She used to only want to talk about relationships... when it's like, "can we talk about something else for once?" I would ask to change things and so frankly, I don't see how I "ALLOWED IT TO HAPPEN" as you stated below. So I'm beginning to think it was an isolated case, not so much about Cancers themselves.

But in general terms, our mutual Cancer friend and herself were way too emotional for my taste - and I do agree that, what they consider "normal behavior" may be too much for me (or they may think I'm "aloof."). She has tried to bring me down in saying that she has tons of friends for many years, when I have fewer friends, but very loyal and healthy ones. My Dad, a Libra, considers ME too emotional, so god knows how he would react to her.

given an analogy, no leaves would shake if there werent any wind blowing. thats what i meant by allowed it to happen. maybe isolated case, as in your friend could have a moon or asc in a competitive sun signs like aries/scorpio/leo/ cap. Report It

as cancers are too inwardly insecure and scurry to 'hide in their shells' to condescend somebody directly. but if they do, its not something thats made up but really exists n probly intensified to point blank by the time it got out of their system. Report It

bracing the well known astro fact that cancers are honest and frank about their feelings. plus, rather too possessive/ clingy to even spoil the chances of admitting their faults to someone who is considered dear to them.

cancers are moody the moon rules them so they change with the tides, they crawl in their shell when hurt and won come out then if they get mad they are done with you, its not a lost cause you just have to have reaal honesty withthem and love them unconditionally and be able to be a strong person who can give them the support they need. they are clingy becuse they care so much and are so nurturing, and when they love they are very emotional , and they may be afraid of loosing you so thhey get insecure if they have low self esteem they are looney tunes , and are fun and need inspiration and lots of affection, and tme,

I'm an Aries, and a Pisces man I was somewhat seeing, finally ended up driving me batty. I had to finally explain to him, we would just be friends. All Pisces I know, end up making me want to pull my hair out, lol. He also liked to spend My money. He drank to much and wanted to gamble all the time. And people want to talked about Gemini's being up and down and all around with their Mood swings.....Whatever!! But I have to love my sister and daughter-in-law, lol. Just expect him to say one thing, when he really means another, and he will be clingy, but not in the way of the Cancer.

at the out set let it be clear that we should not generalize people just by the sign. according to astrology all depends on whilch date u were born in your sign . each sign is divided into three parts .... and each part has different characteristic. may be one one cancer is drunkard the other may not be and third would just have a sip and so on. and one should not look for friends/partner just by the sign. it known many good friends have been from varing signs. and friend ship lasted for yars. yes, you have to be careful that no one throws weight arond. some like it that way and like bossy friends to a limit. life is adjustments.at evey stage and every hour and every day. believeing in sighns to some extent is ok and not have blind faith

both pisces and cancers wear their hearts on their sleeves...and if you dont then you could get impatient with them. they arent actually complicated just sensitive. you'll need to take longer with them...you may be sexually attracted to them? as in the beginning theyre all about beauty and love and seduction. i have been out with many pisces guys...theyre loyal yet slow, very loving and creative...im a taurus and also very creative and my moon and rising is in pisces...but i understand what you mean...they need a bit of fire in them to get them going...which is what you are as a gemini, a fire sign.

Like a bathtub with water or even the ocean, once you are in water (like into a water sign) consider yourself surrounded! My Cancer moon overrides common sense at times and I drown in emotion (and others around me). On the reverse end, water signs know how to instinctively keep things afloat and moving; so Cancer/Scorpio/Pisces are not as clingy and weak-willed as thought (esp. not SCORPIO!)

alright, so we're very familiar with the clingy, bossy, nosy moody of how a cancer could be part, while most non-cancers wont address the part that, they had their part in it as well. i mean like, cancers go clingy, bossy, nosy and moody with only SELECTIVE people and things. and its PROGRESSIVE, it takes time for a cancer to be like that towards someone.

by any chance, have you actually stopped, and reflected upon the reasons or the causes why your friend was like that? and talk to her? we dont like people who we think can be trusted making assumptions about us, what more wrong assumptions. we like people who are honest enough to not assume things as it is and ask to understand (like what you're doing, its a good start). as sensitive as we are, we can take criticism and confrontation direct in our face (try it) much better than what most people tend to think, though we'd be teary eyed and silent, never mistaken it for being weak. we'd swallow it with a grain (or tubs) of salt, later, but still, you'd see us, becoming a person that you would like to see, if the cancer really appreciated and treasure that friendship as much.

and i dare to agree with your cancer friends that perhaps, you (not personally) but as a gemini sun sign is contributive to your actions that was being selfish comparing to the fact, we cancers tend to consider everybody thats dear to us, their feelings and thoughts, before we decide upon anything that we do. the reason why we say hurtful things, is simply because, we were hurt. but to understand how and why are we hurt over some things that seems hard to grasp, well, hard to explain, unless you have a water element sign in you.

so, to conclude, id say, your cancer friends behaved like that as a result of YOU ALLOWED IT TO HAPPEN, you had your part and doing in it, well, digest that fact, first and admit some unintentional faults that you might have had towards your cancer friends.

if you cant bring yourself to even a bit, that gives the answer why your relationship with those cancers are slowly parting its ways. there's nothing complicated about it as you thought it might be.
