Why are some people become too "in" to a song?

Why are some people become too "in" to a song?

i think it has alot to do with whatever is going on in their lives at the time. I lived next door to this lady who was going through a divorce and all day for like a week she listen to this ace of base album (yeah it was the early 90s) i mean in a loop all day!! It was crazy, but it was because her life was in shambles and it apparently made her feel "better" it drove every1 else nuts!!

b/c...they like it i guess? i mean i get attached to a song but sooner or later another one comes along....songs are like bf/gf's there will always be more

IDK why but I think I have an idea. People think differently so maybe that one song seems to hypnotize them or make them forget something. Like I htink they麓re loctus or something (they麓re these huge bugs in Africa that swarm the place and eat) anyway they calm down by this whistley sound thats made by a chain that you spin around. Maybe thats what麓s happening in the people麓s minds?

research music therapy. The science of sound. There are actual studies taking place on what sounds are appealing and what arent, becuase after all, music is just sound manipulated to time and space using rythymic and tone generating/pitched instruments.
