Trumoet solo ideas? |
ok ive been playing trumpet for 5 years, and i was woundering what kind of solos you would suggest for me. i know waht people sre going to say: how good are you? and im gonna say well im pretty good. i can double tounge, but not well. try learning trumpeteers lullaby or bugler's holiday and both are by al hirt and you can download them on limewire.com get a copy of charlie parker's "essential jazz lines", John coltrane patterns and jerry bergonzi books. . .. and shed. forget the solos.....work your patterns and go for feel. well i would choose something that you feel in your soul, yo;u know, maybe something that is connected to something or someone you love. hope this helps ya see..i don't play trumpet, but i play jazz guitar. no with soloing the only thing i can come up with for you is just stay in the scale. sorry that's the best i can give you. everything i know how to do is with sliding and such. good luck try listening to a lot of trumpet stuff, find what appeals to you and go buy the sheet music for it. |
