Whats the different between a slide trombone and a valve trombone ??

one uses a regular slide like im sure youve seen and the other uses valves that look like the ones on french horns it uses fingerings like trumpet and stuff as opposed to positions which is what the standard trombones use

Ease of use, so to speak. Wyclef Gordon play slide trombone like a valve though.

The valve trombone uses piston-type valves like a trumpet, not the french horn, which uses rotary valves. Of course, the slide trombone uses the familiar slide.
