What are the pros and cons of liking jazz music?

The pro about jazz is that it is one of the few forms of music that most closest represents the heart and soul of the musician. Jazz is about the musician expressing himself through his instrument through improvisation and imagination. In its purest form jazz gets you into the personal domain of the musician. Can't beat it.

The con is that if you love jazz music. Its hard to find on the radio (unless you got satellite radio).

What pro and cons? either you like it or you don't.

i think its ok, but not my favorite. u dont decide if u like something by getting others ppl's opinions. so, u only know what u like, by ur true feelings, not by what other ppl tell u.

pros great music, cons lousy music.

There's no cons to liking any kind of music. You have your own taste, go with it.

When it comes to Jazz, about all you can say about that is you either like of you don't like.

Pros and Cons? There are no cons, with the exception of spending too much money on CDs and downloads.

What do you mean by Pros? By liking jazz, does it make you a better, smarter or more popular person? No - the pro is that you have tapped into an art form that is steeped in tradition and embraces new and innovative ideas. Barely a day goes by where I don't either listen, practice or peform a jazz song.

Last night, I played an outdoor concert with a 'fusion'-influenced quartet. The audience's age averaged 50 or older and they loved it! So, I guess another 'pro' is being able to introduce music to folks and get their appreciation of it. Our rendition of 'Europa' brought them to their feet and swaying. It was amazing.

I love to hear music but when it comes to " Jazz / Latin Jazz " i automatically transform my self into that beat .It's a true feeling and sensation that you begin to feel.Besides I'm also a percussionist,As i play along it's when i start to use my imagination, to improvise on my instrument what I'm feeling.This is something that you must like,love. This is part of my Puerto Rican heritage,my roots :Spaniards / Tainos / Africans ,They all have in common ( music / instruments ) it's already in your blood, This is my pros !
