Has anyone tried these Mauriat saxophones?? I've heard loads about them but have never tried. How do they compare to, say the Selmer Series II, Reference 64 or the Yamaha 875EX? And does anyone know of a dealer that keeps them in stock to try? P. Mauriat saxophones are phenominal! I wish I could afford one. They have amazing action and beautiful sound. There is a large choice of finishes, including a classic 'patina' look.
The only comparable saxes are the Selmer Reference Series, the Reference 36 and 54 (copies of the Balanced Action and Mark VI). Yamahas suck in comparison. |
