Does anyone know any Portuguese song?

I'm doing a video for Jean Charles de Menezes. He was an innocent victim that was thought of being involved in the 2005 bombings in London. Unfortunately he was shot by the police. May he rest in peace. So I want to find a song that could match his situation. Something nice and melancholy at the same time. But I want a Portuguese song because he was Brazilian.

i can't pick out a paticular song because I don't really understand what the movie is about, but in terms of portuguese music that is melancholy, I suggest you look at the genres of fado, its really sad and melancholy, or music that relates to saudisimo

Rent the movie "Black Orpheus". The theme song is very sad. It also has a sad song called "Felicidad". It is a Brazilian remake of the Orpheus and Eurydice fable, and takes place at Carnival in Rio. It is a classic movie and the song is recognizable and famous. Search You Tube for Manha de Carnaval by Luiz Bonfa. ( Look for the one posted by "troubleclef").

You could choose any number of Brazilian bossa nova numbers sung in Portuguese, or you can try the 'Barefoot Diva', Cesaria Evora from the album 'Terra Estimada'. Cesaria is Cape Verdean and sings in Portuguese. Her music is beautiful quite 'melancholy' at the same time.
