Is there a way to make a song completely instrumental? Some program or something? The best way is to transcribe it yourself... sit at a keyboard and focus in on one part at a time writing down on staff paper what you heard. It improves your listening skills and musicianship without having to deal with complicated computer programs that will do a poor job. oooh!! the only way i know is that i took my headphones and i didnt plug them in all the way and the voices werent coming up i thought i broke my cd but then i jus=t didnt plug tthem in all the way 1. Rip the track, save as mp3. 2. Download a mp3 to MIDI converter. convert the file. 3. Get a software program like Sibelius or Finale ( be prepared to spend over $300, unless you are in the business and get a discount! www.academicsoftware.com will also sell to you for less if you can PROVE your a a student or teacher.) 4. Open the MIDI file in the notation program - assign tracks. Voices gone - all instrumental. THIS WILL NEED SERIOUS TWEAKING - the instruments will be all over the map. Now you have an all-instrumental version - you can print parts, re-save as a WAV file mp3, etc. If you know your stuff, you can even generate your own karaoke-style accompaniments - and transpose them, alter the tempo - but this is advanced user stuff. I do it at least once a week - but I have been a professional vocal director since 1971 - 3 snooty degrees, the whole package. I may have scared you with this answer - I hope I *inspired* you instead - there IS a way to do this - but it is not short and clean! |
