There's an old John Tesh song (and I've tried looking for it on his jams on Amazon, couldn't find it under any audio samples) and the melody and rhythm is kind of similar to Bruce Hornsby's "The Way It Is" (e.g, when Hornsby's song starts off with a piano intro and then soon after starts singing the first verse?) well it sounds similar to that; my smooth jazz radio station played it years and years ago, when I was younger and I swear on a stack of books that I heard John Tesh's name mentioned after that song played (I have decent long-term memory), but I haven't found the song, so can anyone help? :) Thanks; much would be appreciated! ^_^ Oh sure. I know he isn't JAZZ or REAL JAZZ...more like CONTEMPORARY CLASSICAL or so-called "NEW AGE"
But see...there's a history there with my station, WNUA 95.5, the call letters in WNUA, the NUA, actually stands for "New Age" and when this station appeared in Chicago in the late 80s, it was prone to play more "New Agey" music, thus John Tesh and Yanni type joints mixed in with mood music, electronica, and Smooth Jazz, (I remember this in the early 90s-they still mixed it up but today it's more smooth jazz, haven't heard Yanni in a LONG TIME, but I still hear certain mood music/electronica songs and I hear one tune by The John Tesh Project with Everett Harp doing a version of Mr. Mister's "Broken Wings"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WNUA I'm sorry I couldn't bite my tongue. John Tesh is not jazz. It's elevator music. Kinda like Kenny G or Michael Bolton.
SORRY! I couldn't hold it in! Tesh!!!! |
