i'm a high school band student and i want to know if any of these trumpets are good brands ( suzuki,L.J hutchen,or a sky) have you heard of "bach", this brand not bad (hopefully i didnt spell wrong) Depends. How good do you think you are?
If you are either just learning to play or don't think you've progressed very far, then I would say that a Suzuki student trumpet would be fine for a 1st or 2nd year player.
Once you've progressed to the next level, I would look at Bach trumpets. Try a Bach Stradivarius Model 37. Somewhat pricey (around $1200), but very versatile. Look for a good step-up or basic-pro horn or even a pro if you are looking to pursue music as a career. If you are a typical high school trumpet player I would look at Bach or a Conn or the really popular student horn in my area is King Silver Flair, they are descent step-ups and run a little over a thousand dollars. Stay away from unestablished brands. |
