What region of the u.s. has the best job market for jazz musicians?

if you are good enough and original you should have no problem whatever region, but try chicago or detroit seems to be alive there at the moment

Manhattan is where musicians go to play jazz. It still is the jazz capital of the world.

New York. From NYC a musician can not only play the city, but it's short travel to Philadelphia (big jazz city), upstate to resorts, over to New Jersey, and travel to Boston and DC is also relatively easy.

Many places are good in America but the two best cities for jazz are NYC and Los Angeles, with NYC being the best in America. Philadelphia apparently is good also.
