If those girls were in the same room with Nina Simone, they would just piss their pants. that's the best they could do.

Nina Simone had more dignity in her little finger than those girls could even begin to acknowledge. Nina would just need to stand there, and her presence would talk louder than anything those other girls are capable of dealing with.

PS-Yes, Billie Holiday had her demons. She still played her part with respect. Another woman in her shoes might have quit or fallen apart. Walk in her shoes. She had so little going for her and she did not compromise. Unlike today's stars who sell themselves like hookers.

Billie Holiday was the best and there was a story behind each song. For those who never heard the story, her song "Gloomy Sunday" at one point when it first came out caused so many to listen to it over and over again and then commit suicide that it was pulled from circulation for a time.
