Multifunctional guitar? Suggestions? |
I'm looking for suggestions on guitars that are professional level that can function in straight ahead jazz, fusion, blues, rock and other types of music. Ive heard about taylor's T5, godin's synth modeling guitar and PRS hollowbody guitars The New Fender VG. It has built in digital emulations. fender vg http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/F... Are you looking for a guitar with active electronics or just a good guitar? If you just want a good multifunctional guitar, I would go with a GIBSON Les Paul. You can get killer smooth jazz tones out of them with out any processing at all, and I think we all know you can get them to rock out too when you want. The only one I have played is mine, it is ebony I don't know if that makes any difference. Les Paul's are heavy and expensive though. If you are getting your first guitar go with either an American made Fender or Gibson...yes many people think its a sellout to go with these name brands, but, that's the point. If for some reason you don't like it it can be resold for about what you purchased it for. |
