Jazz radio stations?

Please inform me of any good jazz station(s) that you know of.

Specifically, jazz stations with an exploritve edge to them, and definitly not smooth jazz. Even just a radio show on a college station would be good. Any way I can hear some interesting jazz is good for me. THANKS.

It is necassary that it is available through internet stream.

PS-It doesn't have to even be jazz, as long as it creative and original.

WDCB in the Chicago area is the best in Jazz, Blues and more. And it's public radio, not commercial.

It's hard to tell not knowing where you are located. Try your AM stations; they have more creative selections than mainstream, FM stations.

Get iTunes up and running and there's an entire selection of online JAZZ RADIO STATIONS worldwide on there and you can listen to any of them all day for free.

KPLU 88.5 in Seattle has a program called "Jazz On The Grooveyard". It begins at 12:00am PST. They do have a live stream. They feature a lot of original jazz. Some you may like, some you may not. Give it a listen. Its also an NPR affiliate so there are no commercials, just station support announcements.

WBGO in New York is the big one. On the West Coast, the Long Beach station, KLON is the one to listen to for serious, great jazz. Both stream online.

A good NPR affiliate that does jazz in the evening is KANU, in Kansas City. They also do late nights but do awful classical music in the day.

There's one sponsored by Cal State Long Beach called KJAZ it's 88.1 FM.

iTunes, download it if you don't have it, it's free.
There are at least 40 jazz radio station 24 hrs a day.
