I want some Good Jazz...no words....Just good music....?

I LOVE
Glenn Miller
and
Benny Goodman...
Stuff like that...

You have good taste. Try Dave Brubeck and Artie Shaw. Shaw was even better than Goodman. Harry James is another one you'll like.

Harry James playing Cheery Beery Been is probably the ultimate in trumpet playing. Artie Shaw is also amazing. That Big Band era was when America produced the best music ever. Report It

John Scofield is pretty good in my opinion.

If you've never experienced Grant Green, you MUST pick up some of his material. It's not clarinet, it's jazz guitar.

Good Jazz? ...Henry Mancini? ...Dave Brubeck, Andrew Hill, Art Blakey And The Jazz Messengers, Artie Shaw, Claude Bolling, Eric Dolphy, Herb Alpert And The Tijuana Brass, Herbie Mann, Stan Getz, The Modern Jazz Quartet, Charlie Parker?

The answers that you have received so far are not similar to what you are searching for.

Miller and Goodman were Big Band leaders. You should be seeking out Big Bands. The 1930's and early 1940's were the prime years for Big Band swing, like Miller and Goodman.

Try these Big Bands from that era...
Count Basie
Jack Teagarden
Tommy Dorsey
Woody Herman
Stan Kenton.

I personally suggest the Duke Ellington album called Ellington Indigos. I'm not too into Big Bands, but I really like listening to this Duke album.

Try Dizzy Gillespie, Joe Pass & Oscar Peterson. No words promise, just smooth jazz. You'll love them all, enjoy. Good luck!

Charles LLoyd "Forest Flower", "The Flowering", "Dream Weaver" "Journey Within","Canto". A great set is Stan Getz playing an outdoor concert in Glasgow in 1990, it consists of 2 CD's "Soul Eyes" and "Yours and Mine" also both "getz and Gilberto albums. very beautiful. Miles Davis Aghartha, also he has Pangea and another one called Bitches Brew. Cooking with Miles Davis Quintet is great alsdo.

Miles Davis "Kinda Blue" is remarkables as is John Coltrane at Newport 63, John Coltrane, 18 steps. Hebie Hancock " Cantaloupe Island" Herbie Mann "Memphis Underground"

Old stuff Mezz Mezzrow "Really the Blues"
