Jazz singer Kamal?

What happened to the Jazz singer Kamal?
I love the Billy Cobham album Simplicity of Expression, depth of thought. The best song is early libra, where a singer Kamal sings. I have never been able to find out who he is, or in what other CD.s he appears. Any info would be greatly appreciated. I googled it and nothing came up

From what Allmusic.com says he is a New Age musician. Here is a link to the CDs that he released. Also it may be noted that Simplicity of Expression has not been released on CD.
