What 'developed' nation/culture has the greatest appreciation for jazz, and music in general...?

what 'developed' nation has the most jazz clubs/the greatest appreciation for jazz... what nation expects the most out of it's musicians...... what 'developed' nation revolves around music 'the most'

That would be the USA of course.......Harlem blues & jazz, the south........I mean jazz was born here in New Orleans.........ever hear of the Chicago Blues houses? Blues was born here too....................the nation with the greatest appreciation for jazz & blues is the good ole USA........jazz has been a large part of our culture for years & years.

Nowadays, I'd say the strongest appreciation for Jazz is shared between Western europe and the US. Germany and France have a great love for the style, there are more venues where jazz is played,

A lot of USA jazz musicians say that jazz sits well in the shadow of Rap and Hip Hop. Jazz in England & Europe is very vibrant, but it's hard to get the truth about where it is most appreciated. I'd like to believe that it is New Orleans.

It's a known fact that Europeans have a greater appreciation for jazz than the U.S. as a whole.

An upcoming jazz musician can probably make more money in France and Germany, where in the U.S. he/she would have to prove themselves more to make the money. Jazz musicians are treated more like royalty in Europe, Canada and Japan.......more so than in the U.S.

The answer to your question is not a nation but rather cities in the US. Number 1 is New Orleans, the birthplace of Jazz, music is the center of the city. Then there is Memphis, Austin . . . basically anywhere in the South because jazz was a way for African Americans to sing and play instruments like they couldn't before. When it comes to Jazz, I'm going to have to say the US, we introduced Jazz to Europe and the blues. You can't leave out Chicago, LA or NYC either - the places every musician would like to appear.
