i don't know the singer. it's kind of old song. maybe jazz or blues. anyone know?

Burt Bacharach wrote that song, yes the Carpenter's had a hit with it, but literally hundreds of musicians have covered that song.
You might have heard Burt's version, its also a popular version, and the original.
