Express your opinion with as much music vocabulary as you can please Bebop as it was called, took awhile to make it around the country. We didn't have the media we have today. By the time it started to get popular Hard Bop was making the rounds and, along with an improving economy, made it more commercially successful. Shame Bird didn't live to see it! America was fighting World War II when be bop was in its prime. Hard bop came in the 1950's and the economy was better.
The difference was the economy. Bebop was more cutting edge than hard bop, in their respective time periods. |
