Can someone name me a loud and raucous instrumental jazz number? urgent!? |
I need it for presenting the restaurant scene in 'Death of a Salesman'. name me a track. *I know they use trumpets and pianos, lol* it is a trumpet RED CLAY!!! Freddie Hubbard. Report It I think what you need is some jazz fusion music not straight jazz.. I think off the top of my head "Led Boots" by Jeff Beck would be just about what you are looking for. There are a few other songs on his album like "Blow by Blow", "Air Blower" or "Freeway Jam" that might also fill the bill. There were also a few pieces of music by John McGlauphlin and Stanley Clark that might also fill the bill. Hope this helps. How about "Rockit" by Herbie Hancock? If you want some straight jazz try Caravan (by Duke Ellington but everyone and their mother has done a version of it) or A Night In Tunisia or if you want something more modern try some 70's Miles Davis like On The Corner or Bitches Brew or if you want really raucous avant-garde stuff try Ornette Coleman's Free Jazz or Coletrane's Ascention or some crazy John Zorn stuff or... well, one of those should work, good luck. Woody Herman's "your father's moustache" would work, or any of the Dizzy gillespie stuff, maybe Manteca, Boogie Stop Shuffle If you want loud and raucous, you need a big band. Here are two good suggestions: Big Boy, by the Lighthouse All Stars. It'll knock their socks off. Hang Dog |
