Music with jazz and classical elements?try any jazz or classical music. what kind of a question is this? how stupid are you? There are a lot of band arrangements that I know of...but those or more like medolies. If you search through some classic jazz artist from the 1920s such as Duke Ellington, I'm sure you can find some. Also, Wynton Marsalis includes some classical elements in his arrangements. The most famous classical music with jazz elements is Gershwin's "Rhapsody in blue", or "An American in Paris".
Also try Bernstein's "West side story - symphonic dances". Thirdstream One example of jazz's influence on Classical is "Golliwog's Cakewalk" by Debussy.
The influence of classical music on jazz is apparent in Nina Simone's Bach-inspired fugue improvisation in her song "Love Me, or Leave Me."
As mentioned before, music that combines the two includes Bernstein's West Side Story (see Dance at the Gym: Jump) and Rhapsody in Blue by Gershwin. Ragtime music also combines classical form with jazz rhythm. See Scott Joplin's "The Maple Leaf Rag" or "The Entertainer" (relatively ubiquitous...you probably already know them from "The Sting"). Its called Third Stream.
In the 50's, Charlie Parker recorded an album with his regular small band and a string section. After that successful album, everybody and their mother recorded an album with strings, including; Stan Getz, J.J. Johnson. Ben Webster. etc,... I would try Norah Jones. You might like it.
