Trumpet or trombone? |
ok so i am good at the trumpet but idk if i should start to learn trombone for some fun.....give me some answers I used to play both. When I origianlly swicthed, I got up "up to speed" in a hurry as I chose a valve trombone. Embochure on "bone" was the biggest issue - reading F-clef was "no biggy" for me at least as I also played some piano and had a pretty good feel for G/F clefs. um,... no. Trumpet all the way!..Trumpet players are cool, you get to play Taps all the time. haha They're very similar so you're not wagering much if you try to juggle both. I played trumpet for many years, private lessons from a guy in the Pacific Symphony and my brother was awesome on the Trombone. The trombone is the loudest instrument in any orchestra/wind ensemble, but both have their strong points. It depends on if you're comfortable with Bass Clef or Treble Clef? Why can't you play both? DUDE. TRUMPET FOR LIFE! Stick with the trumpet for your neighbours sake. trombone is where its at I play sax and I have a trombone just for fun. If you want to spend $100 to get a used, old bone then I'd say go for it. It's fun to mess around with and if you like it you could make the transfer from trumpet to trombone. Just try it out and see how you like it. Play both you'll get more jobs, but start with the baritone as it will play in both treble and bass cleft. That way once you get comfortable with bass cleft you can then go to trombone or tuba. I like trumpet . trumpets have a nice sharp sound and are important in jazz! wATCH OUT YOU May not get your 1st pick, a band needs trumpets, but not 10!!! depends if you can read bass clef music, you'll need to re-wire your brain to do so. its totally different then what you're used to. |
