Who, in your oppinoin, is the most talented jazz guitarist?

Django Rheinhart

George Benson.

Herb Ellis

Stanley Jordan. No one else can tap like he does. Check out Magic Fingers.

Lot's good guitarists out there, but I really like George Benson.

aldi meola, i am not so sure.
the man is george benson
charlie christian is dead.
and there are whole lot of jazz players in burma. it just that you havent seen them all. and you cant see them all. i just think they all are talented.

Wes Montgomery was Boss guitar (RIP). Django - not bad for a guy with only 2 working fingers on his fret hand!
I love Pat Metheny (the Kansas Kid). He has great taste as well as being super fast on his Gibson 175TD.
Charlie Byrd was great too.

Ronny Jordan.

I am torn between Joe Pass and Les Paul

This man invented his own style, he plays fours parts with two hands. You might know him from a group called Tuck and Patti. This man is truly amazing. His name is Tuck Andress, I really do believe that he is the greatest jazz guitarist who has ever drawn a breath.

Django was amazing... he played with only two fingers on his left hand (the other two had been badly burned and weren't usable)

Also, You can forget about John John McLaughlin. He pioneered fusion with the Mahavishnu Orchestra
Listen to this:

and his straight ahead skills are absolutely amazing.... his solo starts at 1:16 in this clip

Kevin Eubanks

Stanley Jordan

Enjoy!

Mike Stern
