I thought it was Patti Labelle but I'm not quite sure. What was the name of the original song? It was indeed, but the song was called "Love, Need and Want You" from her 1983 album "I'm In Love Again".
The melody and some lyrics from that Labelle song were incorporated into "Dilemma" by Nelly, featuring Kelly Rowland (ex-Destiny's Child).
