what is covered in the book? how is it different from other guitar books? why is it worth getting? is it specifically for aspiring jazz guitar players or something? it just has many features that tell you alot about different chords and much stuff that you learn at jazz guitar classes Ted Greene was a genius on the guitar but, in my humble opinion, he came up a little short as a teacher.......his workshops were almost incomrehensible...save for a few geniuses in the audience....(you could get a sample on YouTube),,. his Chord Chemistry book!!...... I have tried for years to work through that thing...I've been playing guitar for almost 60 years and there are chords in there that I simply cannot play!!......much less understand.....there are, quite simply, hundreds of chords in his book, 3 and 4 note chords with every 3rd, 5th and Root and 7th drawn in freehand.....I just couldn't get thru it....now he put out a Chord Progression book that I probably should have gotten..it was not so theoretical....also, I have heard his 2 books on single string improv. soloing were much better. |
